High Fives All Around at the High Five Invitational!

This past weekend, the Collingwood Clippers hosted the High Five Invitational, welcoming over 160 swimmers from Clippers, Breakers, Hanover, and Owen Sound for an action-packed pentathlon-style event. Athletes had the choice between two challenging categories—Sprint (50s of each stroke + 100 IM) and Mid-Distance (100s of each stroke + 200 IM). The stakes? The fastest combined times across all five events determined the champions in each age and gender group!

A Huge Thank You to Our Volunteers!

Meets like this wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of our volunteers â€” thank you to everyone who helped make this event run smoothly! Special shout out to Angela Hilts for stepping into the Chief Finish Judge role for the first time, and to Brian Scott, Cameron Wynn, and Courtney Colekessian for accepting the challenge of being Starter for the first time!

Our Level V Master Official, Carole Binsky, and our very own Level 3 Official, Jan Abbott, were both recognized during our Officials briefing for their dedication and many years of support to the Clippers as leaders in the Officiating world! Congrats to both!

The High Five Invitational truly lived up to its name—fast racing, big smiles, and plenty of reasons to celebrate. Way to go, Clippers!
